Terms and
Conditions of Charter
BOOKING:
- A
completed and signed booking form must be received together
with a deposit of 25% of the agreed charter costs, and a
receipt issued before a charter is deemed to be booked.
The
balance of the agreed charter cost must be paid in full 21
days before commencement of the charter.
CANCELLATION:
- In the
event of the charterer being unable to fulfill the booking
arrangements, the company will make every effort to re-charter
the vessel for the specified period and if successful, the
deposit after deduction of £50.00 expenses will be returned.
If the vessel cannot be re-chartered for the period booked,
the charterer remains responsible for the full amounts
payable. (Charterers can insure against this possibility.)
NON
AVAILABILITY: -
If for any cause whatsoever, the company is unable to make
available the vessel or an acceptable alternative, all in
accordance with the booking contract, the deposit and any fees
paid will be returned in full. Alternatively, another date or
period of charter can be arranged to suit all parties.
In
the event of adverse weather conditions or circumstances which
would endanger the charterers or crew, it will be totally at
the discretion of the skipper whether or not the charter will
commence or continue. The company reserves the right to alter
the itinerary, with the skipper having the final word in all
events, without further liability to the company whatsoever.
DESCRIPTIONS:

Every effort has been made to give accurate descriptions of
the vessel and her inventories. The company disclaims any
liability for minor inaccuracies and reserves the right to
change or alter equipment at its discretion.
INSURANCE:
-
The vessel is comprehensively insured including Third Party
liability. The insurance does not cover personal effects or
vehicles left at the port of departure.
PETS:
-
The company as a matter of policy does not allow pets aboard
the vessel.
PICK-UP
AND RETURN: -
The ports of departure and return will normally be either
TROON MARINA or LARGS MARINA although alternative ports can be
used by arrangement.
DEPARTURE
AND ARRIVAL TIMES: -
By mutual agreement.
FUEL
SURCHARGE: -
In the case of extended charters covering longer distances, a
fuel surcharge may be requested, any surcharge will be
notified before the charter commences or at time of booking.
NUMBERS:
- The
company reserves the right to limit the number of persons
chartering to 12 persons plus crew.
CRUISING
AREAS: -
Mainly the West Coast of Scotland. Ireland and the
Isle of Man or by arrangement to suit the charterer.
